After Easter, now what!

In Luke chapter 22 as Jesus was praying in the garden of Gethsemane, He said to His disciples, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.” In verses 41-42 of Luke chapter 22, the bible says that He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not my will but Yours, be done.” The heart of our Lord Jesus Christ is for us to continually seek God’s will for our lives even after receiving Him as our Savior for His finished work on the cross. Many people receive Jesus as savior of their souls but don’t allow Him to be the Lord over every area of their lives! The bible tells us that the plans God has for us is good even in the midst of trial and trouble. Jesus, in verse 44 of Luke 22, being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. He would later go on to be punished, beaten for our sake, crucified, then the good news! He would rise again! The bible tells us that for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross! What was His joy! That we would have salvation from eternal damnation and enjoy sweet fellowship with Him and our heavenly Father! To live a continual resurrected life, we must follow the continual example of God the Son, (Jesus). Pray for God’s perfect will to be done in our lives without the fear that He will give us more than we can bear. He won’t do that! The bible tells us so! The same God that raised Jesus from death to life and seated Him at His Mighty Right Hand, will raise us also in the areas of our lives where it seems that death has taken over! Pray and believe! Then expect the Lord to show up big! He will come in His great love.

PRAYER IS NOT THE OPPOSITE OF WORK; IT DOES NOT PARALYZE ACTIVITY. RATHER, PRAYER ITSELF IS THE GREATEST WORK; IT WORKS MIGHTILY
